To Fill Your Needs
It's been a while since I've posted some photos, sorry. We've been working on a big project the past few weekends and I promise you won't be disappointed. I am hoping to post a big reveal on Sunday. Fingers crossed.

In Today's News
Around 3 am I heard a noise and a small cry from the boys' room, because I have mom ears and I hear everything. I knew the cry was one requiring attention. I opened the door to their room and WHAM! - the smell hit me right away. You know that smell, it's indescribable but so recognizable. It was only a little bit of puke, he said he was okay. I wiped him off, gave him some water, rinsed his pacifier, and put a couple of towels over the spot. All was good for about 20 minutes.
Time for Round 2. This time I woke up Adrian (he doesn't have mom ears obviously) because he is the clean up guy. Travis changed pajamas and got washed up. Sheets were stripped from the bed and taken to the wash. After rounds 3 and 4, Travis slept just fine - on the couch with me holding him.
Even though he woke up in his normal perky state, he stayed home from school. I didn't bring home my laptop yesterday (I had done work Monday and Tuesday night and really didn't want to do anymore) so I got to stay home with him and took a sick day.
We've watched TV, played football and basketball, snuggled, and snoozed. It's been lovely with just the two of us, I must admit. However I haven't eaten. He's at the age where he won't understand that he can't eat yummy food if his tummy is upset. And will pitch a fit if he has to witness. But now he's napping in his bed so I should make a fabulous lunch to tide me over for the afternoon. Quickly, before he wakes up.

1st Post of the Decade
Woohoo! It's about time, right? I bet you've been checking back everyday just like I've been checking on Erica's blog. Just waiting for a new post to show up. I'm not percolating a baby that could show up any moment now. So what's my excuse? Nada. I don't have one. There's plenty of blog posts up in my head. They just haven't made it to the keyboard.
See, I go for my morning run and think about great posts or the beginnings of one and then I get distracted. I sort through my work issues for the day. I think about why the rest of the world is not awake yet. I look at the stars and the moon. And before you know it I am back home. Time to shower, dress, eat, do my hair and then dress, feed, tame bed-head for two more people. Then off to school and work.
I don't get a chance to come back to those great blog posts I had thought of earlier that morning. I am so far behind on how 2010 is going. It's basically going, chugging along like every other day not too different from 2009.
So here is the beginning of this morning's blog post that I had started to write (in my head):
In the spring and summer I usually smell great flowers and the like, the scent hangs heavy in the morning before sunrise. In the winter there isn't much to smell. Most of the time I catch the smell of burning wood, not like the huge apartment fire a mile away I smelled last year, but like a fire place. And I could picture the people all warm and snug in their house with a fresh morning fire crackling away. Today was different. No fire places. The first scent I picked up was a dryer sheet. Someone was running a load of wash through the dryer. I presume it's because they realized last night they were out of underwear and this was the reason for an early load of wash. Then I came upon the very recognizable smell of freshly smoked cigarette. Yup, someone was up getting their nicotine fix before starting the day. And then I passed bacon. Bacon, bacon, bacon. And then I got distracted and totally lost my train of thought. Boy those stars are neat. Look Orion's belt. I can find it every time.
